I know there are a number on here that arent or wont participate on FaceBook but at times there are some pages that come up that may be of interest to travellers and photographers.
The title of this topic is the FB page and it is basically a guy who travels and photographs many places of past history.
I find some of his entries very interesting.
For those that want to, then go and have a look.
Some might find themselves visiting his subject districts and towns.
Some excellent photography on that site.
Despite having a huge amount of rubbish on it Facebook also has some fantastic sites to participate in.
We're long term members of Victorian Birders, Mornington Peninsula Birders & Victorian Native Orchids.
All of those sites have fantastic photography & informative intelligent discussion.
Travel & photography go hand in hand, we've been doing it since to 70's.
The best piece of advice that we've been given though is ''don't restrict your view of life to what you see while looking through a lens''.
We can recommend the Milewa Historic Display that he visited near Ouyen.
Kow Plains Homestead is also interesting.
If you're planning a trip to the area the book ''Mallee Tracks'' by Jill Nickolls & Ann Angel is a fantastic resource.

I enjoy the history that he quotes with almost all of his photos. This provides a great insight into some areas of planning any touring.
I also respect that although his page is not actually a full travel blog there are no adverts attached to it.

I like visiting historic country pubs and spending hours looking at the inside of them :)

We've taken many images of old buildings over the years. This is one of our favorites: Old church at Lake Marmal between Boort & Charlton VIC. The only thing stopping it from collapsing completely was the water tank.
