I thought about placing it in *I digress* but on more thought it is too ridiculous for words as you say, the joke is unfortunately on us.
I drove north on the Bruce Highway from the Proserpine Airport intersection and there is a new billboard sign put up directed at state and fed govts and the condition of the Bruce Highway.
I would love to get a pic of it but it is not a good place to stop.
For everyone in the "field" there will be a PA, admin, fleet & worker comp for all those injuring themselves getting in & out of company cars.

Very similar I think.
Next time I pass I will try and grab a photo.
The one I saw draws attention directly to Anastasia and Anthony.

We regularly are advised by fellow nomads that any road can be travelled if we "Drive to the conditions". There really is no "unsafe road" but only unsafe drivers. This roadside advice may be relevant? Cheers
P.S The OP seems to have recycled a picture that I posted earlier!

There really is no "unsafe road" but only unsafe drivers. - Well actually there are, particularly at the moment as some roads are unsupported owing to washouts underneath the bitumen not being able to be seen. This is quite often the case when roads have been subjected to flood.
Yes Rick - that's happened to me twice lately. Alternative route took twice as long as the main route with major roadworks! Can't win.

Just heard on the nightly news that the Qld Govt has sourced another Civil Contractor to begin work on one of the sections near Bowen where the original contractor went belly up financially.
Lets hope this company can at the least just finish one section.
Where's the OH&S and Safety officers, are they in the crib room having a meeting, therefore all work should have stopped

This is posted in the wrong area.
It is not a joke.

Meanwhile we can have some recreational fun.
