Greetings fellow grey nomads. Myself (Wal) and my partner (Carla) have just joined this great community. We live on the Gold Coast having moved here 12 years ago from Victoria. We have been camping for 30 years in tents, and for the past 15 years in our trusty Jayco camper. Now is the time to move up to a Caravan in the very near future.
So we will soon be asking all you knowledgeable folks many questions about any prospective caravans that we discover.
We both look forward to chatting and maybe meeting many of you all on the road one day.
Cheers Wal and Carla.

Welcome to GN's Wal & Carla, With 45 years of Outdoors history you should be able to give some of us some advice and what to see.
Whilst you're deliberating on caravans, download free technical and buying information and checklists at www.caravancouncil.com.au/ There are a lot of dodgy Manufacturers and Dealers trying to get their grubby hands on your hard earned, so do your due diligence. Go to caravan parks and free camps speak to other owners, we all love showing you our pride and joy and helpful little gadgets we have purchased or made to make camping/caravanning easier.
There are a few helpful people on this site as well that can answer queries either on the forum or by Personal Messaging.
Hope to meet you somewhere up the wallaby.

Wow, thanks for the great advice, never knew that there was a lemon website for caravans. With the cost of these new caravans it is more important than ever to ask lots of questions before you buy. Thanks again.

Also check out Lemon Caravans and RV's website and checkout the buyer guide and list of caravans/dealers with a history of problems. Check out Choice website www.choice.com.au/transport/cars/general/articles/lemon-caravans-and-consumer-rights
