I wonder is it me or does anyone else see the same as me. on my Laptop, Phone and Tablet all yobarrs post appear as one big paragraph.

 Hi Barney. Great to see that at least one member understands how these "experts" work. Because it is not what they may want to hear it is unlikely that those who really need to read and absorb the information (facts) that I regularly supply will do so, but I will peresevere. As you rightly point out, these "assessments" by weights and suspension companies are often nothing more than an exercise designed to deceive gullible owners about the alleged inadequacies of their setups, and to convince them that a miracle cure is at hand. The post by Murray ( Long weekend) is an example, and aligns with my various experiences. Obviously I am not going to supply any company names, but over a period of some years I have attended the premises of some of the more well-known springs and GVM upgrade suppliers, seeking "help" with my weights. Invariably these "experts", who really are nothing more than salesmen, have rattled off a list of figures, using all the correct technical terms that seem to confuse so many. After I have sat them down in their office and explained the physics involved they then run away and get more "experts" to attend. Safety in numbers, but NEVER have I failed to get these people eventually to admit that I was right. Whether they actually believed their representations, or were simply being devious I do not know, but being the eternal optimist that I am I would like to think that they had only good intentions, no matter how wrong they were. Weights and dynamics are no more than simple physics, easily understood by anybody who takes the time to learn, instead of forever arguing with those of us on the forum who DO know what we're talking about. "There is none so blind as he who will not see", and I can assure all that there is absolutely no need for an Engineering degree. Just a brain. People employed by these companies certainly are not going to "bite the hand that feeds them", similar to the situation where motoring writers are "invited" to review vehicles supplied by the very same companies that advertise in their publications. Unbiased? Yeah, right. Talking of motor vehicles, I also have visited several different motor vehicle suppliers to query the claimed towing abilities of their product. After listening to their spiel I have then provided figures and shown them the true calculations. Invariably they have backed down and admitted that their cars cannot EVER tow the claimed weight as a PIG trailer (caravan) assuming the generally accepted 10% towball weight. Assuming the generally accepted 10% towball weight, the car that is claimed to "Eat utes for breakfast" can never tow the claimed 4500kg as a PIG trailer, with the maximum being little more than 3000kg. Always the "OUT" is that the vehicle can tow a 4500kg DOG trailer. Perhaps "Truth in advertising" is needed here? Then there is another popular vehicle owned, driven and seemingly idolised (?) by many forum members, that has NO chance of safely towing, under normal caravanning conditions and 10% towball weight, the claimed 3500kg as a PIG trailer. Whilst many may find the facts I post to be unpalatable, they are simply the facts, and indesputable. To post otherwise, or to embellish the truth in an effort to please others, surely would be unconscionable?  Just don't shoot the messenger. Cheers.

I find it very hard to read usually I break it down to small sentences, so I can understand what he is trying to say.

A similar thing was happening to me when I posted from my samsung tablet, I resolved it by entering the forum from the full site, the my post appeared as I had written them.

Yes. One big paragraph. Like you I find that very tedious to read and if it is that long without breaks I would usually not bother.

If he has any interest in people reading his posts he should find a solution. Of course some may still choose not to read them.

Especially on a small phone simply to read & if one wants to re-read something there is no reference point, say the third paragraph for example.

I dont either. Read it on my phone sideways and just enlarge a touch, as i do with many others, too easy.

On both my Windows 10 laptop and my Android 10 tablet Yobarr's post format correctly - sometimes the content is incorrect but that's another matter :)

It may be your web browser is being difficult although I cannot think of a reason why it should treat the data stream of one individual differently unless Yobarr is posting in a slightly different font or the like but I think most of us just use the forum default?

I use Firefox on Windows and only see a single block of text.

So I copied the test from Gundog's first post and pasted it into Word. There are no paragraph marks or linefeed characters. Just to be sure I went to the original post in Weights and Measures and did the same. The same. But all the other posts I checked have these characters .... some with linefeed characters and some with paragraph marks.

Next, I checked my own posts. I type and use the Enter key between paragraphs. I was expecting to see paragraph marks, but mine have been converted to linefeed characters. The Webmaster's are showing as linefeeds as well.

In HTML, <p> and <br/> are used as paragraph breaks and linefeeds. These are absent in Yobarr's text but visible in all others. (Puzzling ... why did those marks not affect the formatting here?)

It's beyond my knowledge why it appears OK to some and not to others. I am sending a PM to Yobarr in case he is not aware of this thread.

The formatting of yobarrs typed posts have been raised before on here.

It was pointed out at the time by another member that this style was used so as to make editing for quoting much more difficult than what would be should his text be formatted with spaces and paragraphs.

That member at the time did indicate that yobarr was doing it deliberately so as to make any editing difficult because he considered him a troll.
I note that yobarr is not backward when it comes to highlighting and quoting others when it suits.

It was pointed out that on many forums these days people participate on mobile devices rather than having the advantage of the use of a mouse.
A mouse does provide an accurate ability to divide and quote text that is typed in this manner and is a procedure that becomes extremely difficult when on mobile equipment.

Unfortunately I cant link to the posts because I cant find it but this is not unusual as most topics in which there has been verbal altercation between yobarr and others has been removed by admin.

Out of interest I logged onto another forum where yobarr has contributed and his style of typing is virtually the same.
