I thought it was 45 transparencies for large format cameras which were lost.
Fuji Velvia 45 transparencies are stunning. But I usually used 67 as it was move convenient. Which are actually smaller, metric vs imperial.

As a lifelong Beatles fan I have to say that Magical Mystery Tour was a musical low point after St Peppers.
They even ended up admitting that it was rubbish.
Growing up I could only afford 45 singles & EP's with my pocket money.
LP's were for birthdays & Christmas.
I used to like putting a stack of 45's on & watching them drop down on top of each other on Mum & Dad's radiogram.

The UB 40 was $3.80 from Batman Records in Melbourne, Swanston St? I think. Found a couple that were 7 cents and after a replay they were over priced.
The few out a couple of hundred that had Flash Covers
