Amazing, and continually becoming more human-like each day.
In the recent publicity over the (now cancelled) Twitter purchase they claimed to have only 5% bot accounts. With a stated 217 million users, that means over 10 million accounts are not real people, but in most cases post as if they were. I don't think they publish the number of posts by these accounts but I am guessing they are many times more active than the regular poster.
How easy it is to sway public opinion when so many of the posts are driven by a political or monetary agenda.
Dorian, are you a "bot"?

AI is a double edged sword. It is now being used by some call centres to alter voices sho that you or I can more easily understand them. Have a look at the Risks Digest specifically the link in this short article. I've been a subscriber to Risks for over 25 years and AI is in the frame quite a lot as is Machine Learning.

Some of those working with AI have admitted that they don't know what they are creating and how far AI will take itself. Some have used the word scary. Already cases of AI doing things they have never been programed to do and were never expected to do, but they did it, themselves.

Just pull the plug.
And if you think the robot is smarter than you.
I will agree with the robot.

I've always viewed the art world as a pretentious bunch. They must be really p1ssed off to be outdone by a robot. The last time I laughed so hard was when a "collector" bought an "artwork" produced by an animal (a chimpanzee?).
A robot wrote this entire article. Are you scared yet, human?

Danny's workmate is called GPT-3. You've probably read its work without realising it's an AI:
