Does anyone know the maximum distance the signal will cover?

It is impossible to give a definitive answer as there are so many variables but I would expect at least 10m to 20m perhaps 50m or more with a following wind.

Safety Dave supply a booster for the caravan, I think it did work though when I forgot to plug it( the booster ) in one time, so 6-8 metres at least.

I haven't measured my TPMS in any form for distance, but had noticed that I was having more interruptions to the signals. Tyres were not showing, or errors etc. Put new batteries in & soon as the car got to 20kph got perfect readings all around the car.
So maybe with longer distance having new batteries would help & changing more frequently.

Thanks to everyone who replied. The reason I asked the question is that we have a 22ft van and the distance from the rear wheels on the van to the dasboard of the tug is roughly 16ft, so I just wanted to check this before buying.
I have looked at several sellers on their websites and couldn't find that info on any of them.

Safety Dave's TPMS can do semi trucks 22 wheels , so going by that a caravan shouldn't be a problem ,
