How should Governments deal with the Blockade Australia Prostests

These blockade prostesters in my opinion should dealt with harshly, governments should enact laws that if an arrested individual could likely re offend should be held for 72 hours before being bailed, then when appearing in court the government should enact minimum sentancing of 50% of the maximum. Thus taking the token fine applied to many previous protesters out of the hands of the magistrates.
New laws also should be made that no protest should hinder the public by marching on public roads, instead of fines for the participants, the organiser/organisation be fined 1 million dollars.

I agree. Lock them up. There are more civilised ways to protest.
In fact I don't really understand why they're still protesting. The greenies and climate activists have achieved their immediate goal via the political process. We now have a government which is tuned to their interests (Labor + Greens + Teals), so they should sit back and allow their elected officials to get on with doing what they were elected to do.

They're only doing it for attention. If they stopped the wall-to-wall media coverage of these idiots, they'd probably stop glueing and chaining themselves to the road.
I have heard the comment...if these people continue to choose to glue/chain themselves to the road, they should be allowed to do so on the full understanding that the police will no longer be providing public-funded resources to divert the traffic around them.
I don't have a problem with them protesting. I do have a problem when the actions they take negatively impact other members of the community.

Because it's trendy, it's fashionable and it's *vitally* important to be *seen* to be caring by your peers.
Edit: typo.

I reckon we should have STRAIGHT PRIDE marches with people waving placards telling the world that they're normal.
I'm sick of seeing loud mouthed minorities parading around showing off.

If there is no law to govern what people can and cant do with protesting then draw one up and pass it in parliament.
There was a woman that chained herself inside her car to block an entrance to a highway yesterday morning.
What sort of a fool would do that.
I cant think of the result should she be hit by a truck while she is live streaming herself onto Facebook.
We need more gaols. Or nut houses.

I say we need to put her in gaol to see if she likes it.
Personally my thoughts are that anyone who uses a motor vehicle in any crime at all should have that motor vehicle confiscated and sold.
If the car was stolen or borrowed then the fine should equal the cost of a new car of the approximate same make and model.
Cant pay the fine,,,,,then get used to cheese and bread.

Half of these dick heads don't even know what they're protesting about.
Why don't we have GREY NOMAD protests demanding more free camping, 80% discounts at CP's, free dental care, no registration fees on our rigs etc.etc.
Every other b*st*rd seems to protesting about something, let's join them.
Like the old saying goes, the squeaky wheel gets the oil.

Along with a hefty fine or other penalty how about take their dole off of them.
I watched a reporter interviewing those protesting and there was one who didnt even know what she was protesting about,
As far as the fool who chained herself into the car, she was protesting about climate blah blah blah,
well if she was fair dinkum she would not have driven her car to the protest would she?
Another example of the genuine people going to work and trying to earn a living, having to pay for the climate malingerers.
Cancel their dole. Todays figures indicate there is as many jobs available in Aus as there are people out of work.
Why do we have to import people to do the work? Apparently the reason is that the jobs available dont suit many of the unemployed.
Well I would like to see how many jobs would be taken up when they are getting hungry,

Interesting fact ..... the so called climate concerned individual hired the car for her protest asignment location.
I cannot help but wonder who is actually bankrolling this action, as some of the participants have come from interstate.
