Paranoid - Black Sabbath
Black Water - The Doobie Brothers
Most People I That Think That I'm Crazy - Billy Thorpe
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin
Maggie May - Rod Stewart
Your Song - Elton John
Long Way To The Top - AC/DC
Honky Tonk Woman - The Rolling Stones
I'm A Man - Chicago
You've Got A Friend - Carol King
I also love all of those songs.
There were sooo many great songs in the 1970s that I found it very challenging to trim my initial list down to 10.

These days no-one plays an instrument in the crap that people listen to, its all computer generated.
Why do people call vocal groups like TAKE THAT & THE SPICE GIRLS bands, none of them play an instrument so how could they be bands?

You make a good point GTS. I think much like art, music generated in the 60's and seventies was much helped by the drug culture that prevailed then.
