Many, many, many great songs were released throughout the 1960s and so, for me, compiling a top 10 list was challenging; I was reluctant to exclude a vast number of songs.
Nonetheless, after a lot of thought, and quite a few second thoughts, here is my list of the top 10 songs of the 1960s:-
Eloise - Barry Ryan
Hey Jude - The Beatles
Dream a Little Dream -The Mamas & the Papas
Suspicious Minds - Elvis Presley
Gimme Shelter - The Rolling Stones
Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf
Happy Together - The Turtles
Happy Without You - The Strangers
One - Johnny Farnham

It's difficult to come up with a list like this as this because of the sheer number of artists coming together over the period.
