It's winter have pumpkin soup instead of salad. (Although I must admit I haven't checked the price of a pumpkin recently)

Can't put pumpkin soup (sucessfully) on a burgher. Coleslaw doesn't do it for me either. and yuk to baby spinich leaves. Those fancy lettuces are rubbish. Good old iceburg for me.

I would grow my own lettuce, but I couldn't justify the cost of an armed guard.

Our local on farm produce store is selling Butternut Pumpkins for $1 each, great for making hearty Winter soup. Who cares about rabbit food?
Sydney - Manly price. Maybe someone can outbid this figure.
I purchased an iceberg lettuce from the Prickly Pineapple Cannonvale Qld for $5.50 yesterday and Bowen tomatoes were $3.99 kg.
There are swings and roundabouts. Toby Estate coffee beans $11.99 200g & 300ml of cream $2.80 looks like it is more coffee & less lettuce.
This guy thinks so, too:

$3.50 at my local Green Grocer
