That would probably be correct in this day and aged as most fruit and veg picked for frozen good s or canned goods are usually picked and processed quickly, but alas the fresh fruit & veg go straight to the atmosphere controlled warehouse for anything up to 12 months with apples.
I just read this article about frozen and tinned fruit and veggies may be better for you that fresh varieties.
If the fresh fruit and veggies are hitting the hip pocket too hard then maybe consider frozen or tinned.
