the way i read it the drones were used to distract the Russian ships radar while it was targeted by land based missiles . that said though warfare has changed a lot , i see only yesterday that the Russian 7 million dollar tank was taken out by a 30,000 dollar missile . apparently they forgot to provide any protection to the tracks of the tank .

did not the British find that out in Falkland's when cheapish Exocet missiles fired from wave top , were evading their counter measures taking out their ships

I don't know why I watched it, but bad memories, came from seeing this. Not the right thing to post on a travelling forum. A lot of death in that vid, regardless of who's side you are on.

Ric, it's about the technology and the advanced use of drones, which could be saving Ukraine lives from something they didn't start.
Sorry if you have bad memories, there is a lot more war crap in video games these days than this, not that I play games anyway.

I shudder at the concept of masses of drones that, using facial recognition technology, can identify personnel and attack those people. I am not sure whether technology has gone that far yet

They don't look like drones in that video to me. They travel too fast. The things that look a bit like wings when they are first launched could be the initial exhaust from the rockets to get them up to speed.

Buzz, the original was in an email to me by a relative, it certainly looks real as compared to the video games ones.
In saying that I've never played a video game of any sort, but I just Googled switchblade drones and that's where the second link came from, along with a thousand others.
I suppose there could be various types of drones, not really into wars and the like, just posted a video of the bad guys getting blown up..........

I have to admit that it does look suspicious how the parachutists all line up facing the same way and their chute positions also line up.
There is so much misinformation on the internet that one should try to verify the source before reposting. I'm not trying to have a go at you Bob but I imagine that your relative that sent you the video is not an expert in military information? Can he out she verify the source?
This could go viral and it might not be real. If it is real then Ukraine should soon win the war with Russia.

Whether the video is real or fake, the Russian invasion of Ukraine is real and the deaths and destruction are real. The murderers are located in the Kremlin. I just hope that the Russian people can see through the propaganda and get rid of Putin and his cronies. The world will be a better place without wars.

If my memory serves me correctly, I read somewhere that Putin has passed a law that says he will be Head Honcho for as long as he lives? Someone may elaborate? A world with no wars? Will NEVER happen although the next BIG war will be the last. Cheers
