I don't know what the latest Covid strain is called but it's just extremely easy to get!
Regardless of what governments might say, always wear a mask when shopping, etc. We were being very careful but I got it, Pat joined me the following day. Where it happened, I don't know - the dawn service at Lake Cargelligo? The "sardine factory" - (the Cobar caravan park) after a music thing at Broken Hill?
We have been isolating at Cunnamulla & can't thank our host at the Warrego Riverside CP enough. Had we been out on the road, it would have been far worse. The health system has a program called Hospital in the Home - they have been watching over us.
Today we received the bad news - our daughter in SW Victoria has it.
TAKE CARE!!

I think the current SARS-CoV-2 strain is a variety of Omicron.

I'm sorry. I hope you are over it soon and back on deck.

hufnpuf,
We are both clear "having isolated for a week" (Qld regulations) plus worn our masks in public for another week, but still have a persistent cough, as well as feeling tired well before we did prior. We arrived home without further incident - except for flooded roads.
We continue to wear our masks in public places - it ain't worth the risk of getting another serve!

A new study:

Suggests that having a COVID-19 vaccine after catching COVID-19 helps reduce the chance of long COVID-19. Another reason to get vaccinated.
