From a vaccinatin perspective, it is no different from the flue. A new jab is required annually.
But covid is different. It is less seasonal and much more dangerous, so until it is wiped out (which is unlikely for many years) it is a fairly easy decision, I reckon.

Correct. My MIL (92) & mother didnt go to school for 2 years during that period.
The problem is viruses replicate every few hours, and there are lots (many millions more than there are humans) of them. Every replication is an opportunity for change. (mutation if you like) So evolution of the virus is very fast and more likely than it is for most animals or for humans. For the experts to predict what a virus will evolve to in a few months is like predicting human evolution over many millions of years. In a word, impossible.
Infections are very high throughout the 3rd world, this increases the opportunity for the virus to change rapidly. In this case the changes appear to be very significant. (big steps) For example, the omicron version is happily infecting everyone in summer now as opposed to winter. Thats unusual for viruses. That is why decisions are being made on the run. And, yes sometimes they get it wrong.
The human race could be in real strife if this pandemic isn't brought under control soon. That's why everyone should do their bit.
Imagine if the next version has a 20% death rate? And the vaccine doesn't work.

Smallpox was also wiped out by world wide vaccination effort.
At one time (not so long ago) it was not possible to travel overseas without a smallpox vaccination cirtificate.

It is further reported that he is a strong contributor to the Institute.
I don't trust anything I hear now and at my age I just don't need another bad experience with vacs either personally or by the bride.
I live remotely and travel similarly. Never in vanparks where isolation is impossible and common facilities are a real worry. Nor restaurants - go look in the kitchens and see cooks mauling everything, unmasked and delivered by itchy fingered waiters.

The article from there on, lost all credibility with me with the next article written by an obvious anti vaxxer. I did not read that article.

Brodie Allen you may opt out of vaccinations that is your choice. I would imagine that the majority would not agree with you. Opting out might be for having an underlying condition but from my recent observations most of those who openly claim to opt out are really just puffing out their chests and showing us all how tuff or stupid they really are. Anyone only needs to read any social media page to see this.
Vaccinations on a world scale have cured or prevented many life threatening diseases. They are proven over time to do this.
While you are being the big man and opting out, have a thought for those with low immunity, have a thought for the elderly, have a thought for all our futures. I personally have recently been on Chemotherapy for 9 months. This treatment lowers your immunity and can make you more likely to get Covid or many other diseases for that matter.
I wonder how tuff these anti vaxxers would be if they had to endure Chemotherapy for extended periods noting that the next person that they may encounter actually has no respect for anyone in their family or circle of contacts by refusing a vaccination. Being diagnosed with cancer and opting (it is a choice) for Chemo Treatment is the only option apart from death.
