A man was in court charged with eating a wombat. The defendants lawyer suggested that his client plead guilty, that he didn't know it was illegal to eat wombats and that he wouldn't do it again. The client did so and got off on good behaviour and a small fine.

As they were leaving court, happy with the results, the lawyer asked "What does wombat taste like?"

His client thought for a moment and then said "Kinda halfway between a Koala and a platypus."
