Call me crazy, but I thought jokes were supposed to be funny.
Maybe I missed the punchline?

Unfortunately Tony, I dont think someones death, no matter how ironic, is really a joke.

I agree Ian, however it's difficult not to see the irony in the situation.
My wife and I often muse over the endless euphemisms people use when referring to death and dying "went to be with Jesus" is one we hadn't thought of.

I always think that it is absolutely hilarious, when any anti-Covid vaccine person, (in this case a very high profile person), actually gets, or dies of Covid

Who knows how many people he convinced not to be vaccinated. I hope his God sends him to hell.

Someone dies, Hilarious! Must be something missing in my psyche.

Agree. Poor taste to make fun of anyone's death.

Fiction is quite a different issue. Nevertheless an excellent suggestion.
To lighten the mood, how about this Monty Python clip.
My thoughts are that without doubt Biggus Dickus is the funniest clip.
To keep this on a lighter note I wonder what other Monty clips people like.

We were discussing this clip on another forum the other day, relating it to the opinions of today's woke brigade.
The Monty Python crew saw the future 42 years ago.
Some of the protests we see nowadays closely mirror this form of logic.

That is why Monty is so funny.
The humour is quite often in the detail

Timmy Teetotaller, built a Teepee in his back yard
He went to the opening of a Heinz tea factory, as they were giving free tea testing, that day
He sampled the full 57 different types of tea
The next day, he was found dead, in the middle of his own Teepee
If this was true, I would not have laughed, at the unfortunate Timmy
As there was no mention, that he was an anti vaxxer, who caught, and then died of Covid-19

There are a few pro vaccination people on here who preach like evangelists on everyone getting vaccinated. How funny it would be if one of them had a reaction to the vaccine and died.
It depends on your point of view doesn't it?
(For the record I am double dosed).

What you say is very true, Are We Lost So I am not trying to attack you, or anyone else
It does depend on a persons point of view I have a friend who will not get any vaccine, but he is still my friend, and will always be my friend But he does not walk around, telling outright lies, or preaching from the televangelist pulpit, advising people not to have the Covid-19 vaccine
I am due my booster shot, in a fortnights time
If I have a reaction, and die of the booster shot
The anti-vaxxers, have my permission to laugh at me

Your death would be a tragedy because you are thinking about the wider community. The antivaxxers, misguided as they are, think only about themselves.

I'll have to admit that I chortled at the irony when I read that article.
Two jokes in one actually
That was one half of the joke
That was the second part of the joke, my religion always told me, that Jesus did not want me to lie
