The good old days! When I first started to drink seriously,in the very early 1970s,a crate of long necks (740ml?) cost $3.51,and we got 30 cents for returning the crate of empties.Things are relative though,as I was being paid the princely sum of $1.58/hr to drive trucks, plus 30 cents/day for dog trailer.Don't know what truckies are now paid, but wonder does it still take just over 2 hours pay to buy a box of beer? And I recall the time when the price of a jug of beer rose from 50 cents to 51 cents. There was almost a riot, because my drivers could no longer buy two jugs for $1.Cheers

Remember those days well Craig. Was paying 25c a jug in the service wet mess, a while later in civvy street I was paying $2.00 a jug and my wallet was weeping :)

Was trying to remember pre decimal days when 15 or so. A 10 shilling note to someone of legal age would get us enough long necks to do the job on 3 or 4 young would be's.

Ah, that reminds me, I have a spare home brew keg with a few bits, it would probably be free to a good home, but obviously need to be a pick up in Lavington NSW.

Any extra charge for the germs, mate?
Speaking of germs, how goes it there in Lamington?
Keep safe mate.

Supposedly disinfected, ha ha,. Still getting 18-30 cases a day reported for Albury/Lavington and traces in the s... pond, so trying to be a good little stay home. We did buy an ice cream cone at the Hume Weir shop and verry nice it was. Good friendly service also.
