A policeman is walking down the street one day when he notices a very small boy trying to press a doorbell on a house across the street.
However, the boy is very small and the doorbell is too high for him to reach.
After watching the boy's efforts for some time the policeman walks up behind the little fellow and, placing his hand on the child's shoulder leans over and gives the doorbell a solid ring.
Crouching down to the child's level, the policeman smiles and asks, "And now what, my little man?"
To which the boy replies, "Now we run.

When I was child in the UK one trick was:
[First you must picture a row of terrace houses where house B was built in the mirror image of house A then C mirrored B etc down the row so the front doors of A and B were next to one another]
The "game" was to tie a rope with some slack in it between the doorknobs of two houses then knock on both doors then stand back a safe distance and enjoy:
First (say) house A opens his door but can only open halfway because of the rope... next house B open his door which can hardly be opened so he gives it a really good tug... the good tug snatches the door out of house A's hand and slams it shut... house A now aggressively opens his door which slams house B's door shut... and so on :)
I think I could still have fun doing that today :)
