Hi
Well it had to happen. The electricity grid is a commercial operation so they want to control it to make money. Forget it being a public service. However my reading previously showed it was not a very big charge over all.
However the grid will need to be improved and redesigned to accept more two way flow to cater for wind turbines, solar panels of various size arrays, batteries, pumped hydro and possibly other new technology. The power companies will have to get designing instead of just raking in money for owning the old grid that they inherited from the old public owned power providers.
A brave new world indeed !

Install an automated switch to turn off the input when you hit a negative value.
Or quite frankly a value close to zero as it is not worth the administration.

The next item on the agenda is to allow banks to charge us interest on our deposits.

Same was with Autogas. Huge rebates and low gas cost. That fizzled out.
It may be a small cost now but will increase over time. Feed in credits began at 60 cents and crashed to 6 cents.
Another push to install solar batteries.
Once these measures are introduced they never go back. Tobacco and alcohol taxes just keep going up.
And of course the aim is for a cashless society, so yes, you will be taxed for bank cash deposits.
The Revenue Think Tanks work overtime to grab our hard earned savings.

an interview with the CEO of A E M C, he said" this cannot happen before 2025, and then it cant happen without your consent. Then, oh you can shift your demand around and use your energy to help boost at peak times" Apparently solar gives great out put at 7pm?, also put your dishwasher on during the day and program your washing the same way if you work. Must be a robot to put 2 or three loads thru whilst you work.
He also said that Energy companies will bring great deals to the consumer.
He further totally confused the radio interviewer, Tom Elliot on 3 aw Melbourne, who said " I do not understand what he said"

Remember a time when they wanted to charge those that had dams on their property for the water they collected in them . The excuse was it restricted the amount of water that could be collected by reservoirs etc. and wouldn't be able to be charged back to the ones with dams. Don't know how that went.

I can't remember which country it was. People were condensing moisture from the air with fine mist net & the government was going to tax the water.

Their is a gadget, that you can buy about $600, that converts your excess power in to heating your ho****er system. Apparently all you need to get it to work is 300 watts. I don't know how the thing works, but I will be reaching out to the Australian company sometime this week, when I find their paperwork.

The bigger the National Debt the bigger the Excises and Taxes and Levies.
You and I will be pushing up daisies but our Children and Grand-Children and their Children will need to pay.
It will be up to them to make the Debt repayment decisions.

I have written to our local member suggesting that they include a 'No Solar Feed In Fee' in their energy policy for the coming Federal Election.
Electricity companies get green light to charge rooftop solar owners for exporting power to grid:
