Its small, cosy and slow, but can go places and get out of places almost impossible for most. No air conditioning cooling or generator yet, but maybe next year.
Jason, So many questions; Where to start?
Gap between Mog cabin and camper (particularly with peak) how is drag and lift? Mog's are notoriously unstable under normal conditions.
Is the UN decal permitted?
The Hydraulic/Pneumatic ram at front of camper - Purpose?
Are you solo or couple campers?
Will you retain WA Rego?

If you were to register the Unimog in Germany or Austria, for that matter possibly any where else it would be registered as a agricultural tractor, super cheap rego.
May you enjoy your travels, I fro one envy you seriously.

You have an excellent Project there......lots of exciting possibilities and not bound by Australia's mindset of "SUV and caravan.." Great to see ... I know you will enjoy it. Please keep us all informed of your vehicle progress/travel etc. with pics. and comments

Ex military?
We considered a Mog prior to the OKA and actually owned one (L1300 1986) for a short time.
Extraordinary off road capability, but BIG and expensive to maintain.
Good luck with it.
You might need to reduce the height of the snorkel, shift the exhaust to low level and make some scrub protection for the top front corners of the camper.
Cheers,
Peter
