There's a lot of horses arses though. They are normally the one's that s****** rather than assist a novice.

I dont know what word the s****** is replacing but from experience I no longer offer assistance after being told on several occasions to mind my own business when I have offered to help.
I was asked once by a park manager to help a bloke get onto his site. When I went up to the window to offer direction he said to me..
*I thought you were going to reverse it in*
I don't drive others vehicles and I cant help but laugh at those who have NFI on how to reverse an articulated vehicle. So maybe I qualify to be a horses arse

Rob

I wonder if my VW Touareg has that? I haven't yet had the need to look for it but I'd like to see the horses rolling around laughing.

There enough people who can't reverse a car without a trailer.

Yes you are correct there.
In hindsight I probably should have put the video in the General Forum or the Towing section.

Seeing that this has appeared to have turned into a serious post in the Jokes Topic I feel I should provide some basic information on reversing a caravan.
The bloke in this video explains it in simple terms.
At the three minute thirty mark he makes an extremely important point when he suggests that you adjust mirrors to view the wheels.
This is easy to do with electric mirrors and really easy with Clearview type mirrors but I am dumbfounded how many people have no idea where the wheels of their van are tracking when reversing.
Another hint that is not in the video is if you reverse your caravan until it is as close to 90 degrees to the car and stop and have an assistant place a strip of insulation tape on the front of the van to align with the rear corner of your car then this will give you a reference point from which you will know the angle of your van.
Do this for both sides so it becomes easier to reverse to either the right or the left using your mirrors.
You may even want to make the reference points permanent if you aren't reversing that often or don't have anything on the front of the van that may be a good reference point.

Are you sure it isn't a joke? That first driver did everything EXACTLY wrong.

Two decades ago I had an office desk on the first floor over looking a shopping strip.
50% of people had issues parallel reverse parking. Of those a good number really should not have a licence. Then some should not be allowed within a hundred paces of a car. Some, we really had to closes the blinds, it was too unbearable to watch.
