Pretty quiet up there in the shut down state but I believe the score is now 76 - 6 - it seems you guys have a few to catch up in game 3.......especially if the next one is played on our home turf...

Not a good result from Queensland but the score is still 62 to 53 Queensland's favour.

And will the NSW premier be as smug as the Qld premier was last year? It's only a game.

It is my experience from the times I have lived in Qld BB, that after a loss the general sentiment is that "we had to let them win to maintain interest" or "origin is really a thing of the past these days".
After several visits to Lang Park over the years and watching us get hammered I thought it was poetic justice for the Maroon's fans to have the ground to themselves so they could see their idols get a proper thrashing with no Blues' fans there to disturb them. I wonder where all that "pride in the jumper" and being "spurred on by the adoring crowd" talk is today.

Seriously in the 40 odd years SOO has been played there hasnt been much difference between the 2 sides, there have been periods when one state has an advantage with players available to them just like Qld did when they had their run of 8 in a row. At the moment NSW probably has that advantage especially in the backline but the attraction of origin is that there are no guaranteed winners. Even though I cant stand her bgt at least Anna had the courage to invest money in taking game 1 to a regional centre like Townsville not sure that Gladys would do the same thing here shes too busy draining the coffers to build new stadiums in Sydney.
