Who listens to the ABC? Not a very convincing or constructive comment. As soon as someone targets one or the other media outlet some folks just turn off.

Not Really... This bloke was way stupider and still thinks he is president..
Compare that gaffe with Trump's history of stupidity and ask yourself, why does he still have any following at all? Is this a sign of our times? Are people becoming dumber every day, or have we become immune to stupidity?

Trump has a massive following in the US (50%) because "ordinary people" are sick of being considered as stupid by the self-styled intellectual elites who think they should be the ones to make decisions because only they have the education and wisdom to so do. Brexit is another example of "ordinary people" telling the arrogant born-to-rule class to get stuffed. More power to the "ordinary people" say I.

I totally understand the reason that Trump was elected, and I despise the political elites more than anyone, but I don't understand why Trump continues to attract these same people. The COVID-19 death toll alone should have been enough reason to ensure that he passed into political oblivion. Would you want a Prime Minister, from any party, who has the intelligence of a gnat? Surely that's a matter of national pride.

dorian while I dislike Trump as a person with a passion I also dislike the rewriting of history. Yes Trump made some 'silly' remarks about covid. (Just like the ABC's Dr Swan and his 150000 Australian deaths). But why do folks ignore the fact that it was a Democrat Governor and mayor of New York that told everyone to go about life as normal when covid hit NY. Who was responsible for putting covid patients in age care facilities? From those decision covid got out of control. But the left 'elite' and left media howl down anyone who mentions that and blame it on Trump.
Just like the left 'elite' ignored any reference to the possible origins of covid. Despite all the calls for a full investigation the left media is still dancing around any mention of a lab leak.
Trump is and was still popular simply because he has the nerve to stand up to the PC crowd and the 'elite' who want to dictate how everyone has to live their lives. They aren't supporting Trump as a person they are supporting what he stands for. You need to separate Trump the person from the politics of what Trump stands for.
Warning ,Fox News
hard to believe he is the president

Hilarious! A wall between Colorado and New Mexico--I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
Remember when Republican hopeful, Dan Quayle, misspelled "potato" (potatoe) at a school spelling bee and killed his political aspirations?
