I guess that we Queenslanders witness a lesson on how to play Rugby League.
The Maroons just could not match the might of the Blues.
But if one plays the game by going up the middle, up the middle, up the middle, and then kicks, how in the name of whoever are you going to be able to put points on.
My view is that the Maroons did not realise that they had a backline to deliver the ball to.
That is exactly what the Blues did and look who scored the tries, and look who won.
Well done to the blues.
Now for SoO No. 2.

Just another recording that I can delete from my HDD. Got a lot of space taken up by 'Qld wins' games.
It didn't come as much a dissappointment as it may have in previous years. The Broncos have conditioned us to seeing our team getting a flogging.
I thought that the Blues did to Qld. what was done to them in the final last year. ie Got up into the oposition's face not giving them any opportunity to develop an attack.
Although I don't take to Wayne as a person his performance as a SOO coach, as demonstrated last year, is outstanding. Green is just not there yet, just like Kevie as a NRL coach. Not sure that Kevie was up to SOO either. And that from a fellow Ipswichian.
And I haven't heard any claims of 'a new dynasty' .... yet!
Well done to the Blues. See you at the Cauldron.
ps. Do we have any international series this year? If so which Queenslanders would make the Aussie side?

I think the Rugby League World Cup is still on for later this year Cupie. It is scheduled to be played mostly in the UK in October and November. I think there might be a few games in France as well.
I think as far as whom might be selected they usually go with whoever did the job last time. There are a few of these players in Origin who are not eligible for selection in a Kangaroo team. Also, there are a quite a few that will probably turn out for NZ, Samoa, Tonga or Fiji. That is a real worry as not are they big and strong, they are also very quick and skilful.
I think you will find it will be a completely different game when we go to Lang Park and that Caxton Street tribe get to work. The game starts about an hour and a half before kick off when the buses go down the street past the pubs.

DMaxer to play Origin you cannot have played for the Kiwi's or the Poms and also must nominate Australia as their Test nation.

Hi Kebbin. I understand that if you play for a 1st tier country such as Great Britain or New Zealand you are not eligible but if you play for a 2nd tier country being the Pacific Islands, New Guinea etc you are. I recall Andrew Fifita played for NSW and then played for Tonga. I think Michael Jennings also played for Australia and Tonga.

. . . but they scored enough points for 3 games.
and they only count for one game.
