Today is a peeerfect example of why Victorians become grey nomads this time of year.
Seymour...central COVIDtoria...temp at 1:30pm is 8.5C with a real feel of 3.3C...and it's raining...pouring rain...cold rain.
Please, can I go back to Queensland? I promise I'll be a good boy.
Brrrrrr...

You're a wimp Vulcan!
When I lived in the UK we'd have been out sunbathing on a day like this! :)
More seriously: I enjoy winter in Victoria, it provides a delightful contrast to the summer days of 45C and allows one to snuggle down under a quilt or in front of a fire.
I'm currently camped in my caravan in the forest in north central Victoria and yesterday and today have been wet, windy and cold but I have a diesel heater and ample firewood (for when it's not raining) along with a generator because solar panels are not worth a damn right now and I'm a happy bunny :)
I have lived in all year round warm countries and I prefer places with contrasting seasons.
Give it a few days and all will be well.
Edit - PS:
And, of course, this weekend the snow ski seasons opens - let's see you do that in Qld! :)

Mike they are forecasting snow on the Granite Belt here in SE Qld. So a bit of snow play may be on the cards. Only 17 here on the Gold Coast and we have no more cloths to put on!!
The coldest we ever camped was about -18c. We were in Utah. (Colder in Alaska but I can't recall the temps). I forgot to plug in the diesel block heater. The next morning the darned motor wouldn't even turn over. So plugged the block heater in. Had a few cups of coffee and it fired up. Mind you I was smarter than some other folks who left their water hose out and broke them trying to roll them up.

Mike,
The van is packed and ready to get away this weekend...and I am in the same location as you.
Heading up to the Murray for a few days, but don't have the diesel heater...just the gennie and the a/c in the van...and a good supply of fire wood.
Might see you around!
