They'd been fishing all day long, then spent an hour in town

Now beside their caravans they watched a lady driving in

'One of us will have to park it '....he said it with a grin.

She was looking for her site as she calmly drove along

Just humming to the radio, an old familiar song

The blokes looked on with interest, they thought she seemed too calm

Any minute now they guessed ,she'd start to show alarm

But no , she pulled up near them and jumped out of her seat

Did a quick perusal about how to fit her van in neat

The blokes had started smirking, they were acting full of fear

'Are you gonna back the van in darlin? oh dear oh bloody dear!!!'

'ALL WOMEN AND CHILDREN .

With big high fives they carried on, laughing right out loud

People passing by all stopped, they had gathered quite a crowd .

Now listen little lady, pay attention when I speak

Careful when reversing you're just a hundred metres from the creek'

They fell about with laughter, impressed with their own jokes

No great surprises there my friends, they're just Australian blokes.

So the little lady set herself, her hands were on her hips

'You're pretty clever gentlemen and good at giving lip

But I've got a deal to offer you....pull your van beside mine here .

We'll have a race to back them in, within an inch or near.'

Momentary doubt was on the fellas faces

I mean....a woman wanting to get involved in caravan backing races?

Even if they wanted to there'd be no backing out

Nah...they couldn't see a problem ,they'd win without a doubt.

'So what will be the prize ?' One fellow asked her from her right

'All the beer these blokes can drink from now 'til Sunday night

I'll pay the bill no worries , the beers will be on me

But if I win they have to fund a shopping spree for me'

The fellows picked their driver, He was good behind the wheel

Although it didn't really matter this was going to be a steal

They took up their positions the race was set to run

It didn't take long to work out ...which driver was the gun

The lady nailed the exercise ,the decision was quite clear

She'd parked the van and filed her nails.....he was searching for a gear

The boys were greatly humbled, she more than passed the test

The crowd applauded wildly , the lady was the best.

She said 'boys I'm gunna tell you, I drive big rigs for a crust '

It stands to reason fellas, good reversing is a must

I can back a big B Double, right through a ten foot gate

Do it first time every time and never hesitate.

I wouldn't have stitched you up if you had made a bit less noise

But I guess you couldn't help yourselves, boys will just be boys.

But its ok fellas, everything is fine with me

Im going to the city Monday and I love a shopping spree.
