After roughing it in tents all our life, we finally set up for retirement to travel. We bought a Grant Essential Cruiser semi off road 21ft caravan. Towing it with a 2015 Diesel Jeep Grande Cherokee Laredo. The 8 speed auto jeep tows it like a dream, yes we cop a lot of flack from narrow minded people who have never owned a jeep, but I take it with a grain of salt. The Jeep has proven itself above and beyond. The Van rides beautifully, the semi off road suspension is perfect over corrugated roads. The van is heavy but fully loaded is still within legal towing limits. In a nutshell we love our home on wheels, and so do the dogs.

Have to say we agree totally here, now with a LR Disco 4 we have had similar. Used to have an 80 Series TLC.
Have many miles and years of wonderful, comfortable travel.

Nice rig, I know what you say about the Jeep.
We were in the USA in 2016 and wanted to rent a Jeep diesel but could only get a petrol Grand Cherokee, it was a great car, we did not tow but we were there for 8 weeks and drove from LA to Orlando Florida, 10,700 Kms all up.
I missed the diesel because we own a Territory Diesel and I wanted to compare them.
The jeep knockers Have never driven one or lived with one for any length of time. I thought the petrol one was a bit gutless but the equipment level was excellent as was the fuel economy.
I feel when I have to change vehicles and we are still towing the Jeep is on the top of the list. There is not another vehicle as good as the territory as far as comfort, handling etc but the Jeep comes real close.
Hope we might see you on the road some where after the covid probs, enjoy and have a safe time.
