In the respected Prospect magazine, Professor Richard Dawkins, one of Britain's leading scientists, paints an apocalyptic vision of a world addicted to Gerin oil - a drug which works its way into the central nervous system and can cause "dangerous delusions" if used regularly.
"Gerin Oil (or Geriniol to give it its scientific name) is a powerful drug which acts directly on the central nervous system to produce a range of symptoms, often of an anti-social or self-damaging nature. It can permanently modify the child brain to produce adult disorders, including dangerous delusions which are hard to treat. Governments dont just turn a blind eye to the trade, they grant it tax-exempt status. Worse, they subsidize schools founded with the specific intention of getting children hooked.

As I said in my original post, it is thought provoking, well worth reading with an open mind, sadly many are unable to accomplish this.
Dawkins beliefs are well known, yes, gerinoil/geriniol is a product of his imagination and the term is an anagram of religion.
His views are not directed at any specific beliefs but covers the whole gamut of fact versus faith.

Your right of course as far as Santa Claus is concerned, my name Santa came after submitting numerous names to this forum when joining back in 2012 and having them all rejected, in desperation I submitted the first 5 letters of the street we were living in at the time (santalum Way) lo and behold it was accepted, hence the name Santa, short for Santalum acuminatum commonly known as the Quandong, nothing to do with the old man with a white beard.

The quotes from the Koran were real eye openers, it is meant to be about the authors conversion from Islam to Christianity, all of his arguments are based on faith and quotes
from the scriptures, far from convincing, interesting read but much of it can be taken with a grain of salt.

I used to read that magazine. Ironically it helped to strengthen my atheist beliefs, as did reading the Holy Book, or as much of it as I could bear.
I also have a copy of The God Delusion and the Koran.
