How did these doctors come to the conclusion that exercise prolongs life?

My memory may not be what it once was,but I seem to remember that Colonel Sanders(?) was born in 1890,and died in 1980?

Spot on Possum but like yobarr with point number 5 (and kfc sucks nowadays) I have a problem with point 4, Maradona was a known long time lover of Columbian bam bam :)

(kfc sucks nowadays) Funny that you should suggest that,as,to me,the "secret recipe" is producing different results nowadays.Seems,to me,that the product now is very greasy and soggy when compared with that of the 1970s,when things were a lot more 'crisp'.Unfortunately,I find the modern product to be unpalatable.Cheers

After getting genuine rabbit in my kfc pack early 1980's I never went back for a long time. Bu we now, maybe every 2 months indulge in "kids popcorn pack", plenty for two at $9.95 for 2 packs, includes 2 cans solo.

Obvious red flags are the references to the inventors of gymnastics and opium. Who are they? Gymnastics was practiced by the ancient Greeks, and opium has been around since forever.

"Richard Hennessy was an Irish military officer and businessman, best known for founding the Hennessy cognac dynasty." He was born in 1724 and died 8 October 1800. That would make him 76 years old.

As for facts; Winston cigarettes were named after the Town - Winston, Salem named after Maj Joseph Winston an American pioneer, planter and American Revolutionary War hero from Surry County, North Carolina, and the first cousin of statesman and Virginia governor Patrick Henry. He also served in the United States House of Representatives and North Carolina Senate.
He is buried in the National Park at the site of the Battle of Guilford Court House, where a monument erected in 1893 notes Major Winston's command of the militia forces. The town of Winston, North Carolina (which later became part of Winston-Salem) is named for him

I stated clearly that the Winston cigarettes were named after the TOWN they were made in (WINSTON) - I added to the post that Winston the town was named after Maj Joseph Winston an American pioneer, planter and American Revolutionary War hero from Surry County, North Carolina.
By the way, I am very familiar with the R J Reynolds Company having had a relative working in the organisation - We were given free cigarettes of Camel, Winston and Salem brands. We used to take the free packs (3 cigarettes) to school to sell so we could buy our preferred brand Chesterfield & Pall Mall.

Your initial story said "Imagine, cigarette maker Winston died at the age of 102". Translated, that reads "a guy named Winston who manufactured cigarettes died at the age of 102". That makes no sense. Winston was a brand named after a town, as I already told you, and neither you or I could find a person by that name who was a cigarette maker.
I don't know who produces this tripe. It could be a psychology student writing a PhD on human gullibility, or more likely it is some troll who gets his kicks watching gullible people pushing his fictional creations around the Internet. It's no wonder that there are so many scams -- there are just too many naïve targets, even among the older generation.

Actually, gymnastics was invented by Pontius Pilates. He is best known for the "crucifix" -- a gymnastic exercise performed on the rings when the gymnast supports himself with both arms extended horizontally.

Yeah, I found that as well. Cooked and straight into the box, insufficient time to drain. Not crispy like it used to be, lack of training maybe!!
