Thanks for your reply Peter, could you expand a little on the differences.I was thinking the bigger v8 in explorer would be better, but only a novice on these things.
cheers

Welcome to GN's Andrew. Absolutely agree with P&M - Although I would have used Cr*p instead of Cheese in the analogy.
Thanks again for your welcome and reply, can you give me some reasons explorer is way below the swagman and any other rigs that would suit us.
Thanks

The Winnebago is a base model Holden.
The Swagman is a top of the line Audi. Why is the Audi better?
Cheers,
Peter

Welcome to the gang Andrew and Elke, enjoy here and out in the playground.
My late wife and I looked at a Swagman 26 footer many moons back and were both impressed. We started to think about a 5th Wheeler as well but that was all cut short by Cancer. I ended up with what is in my Signature below and been living and travelling full time now for 6 years, now in my 7th.
Keep Safe on the roads.

Winnebago only built a limited edition in the 26ft Explorer. 6.5L V8 Chev Diesel and a US built Workhorse chassis. Even though the 26ft was a Limited Edition it had less features than the std 25/32 ft models. It is just my opinion but the Workhorse chassis was under specified for the job.
The Swagman Signature is built on an Australian Isuzu chassis with I think a 4.6 litre turbo diesel motor and most of them were manual transmission. Well built by the original Swagman it has a very good layout and well featured. Service and parts for the Isuzu easily available in Aus.
