If you still want paper accounts/bills, then be aware
1. Telstra is planning to migrate 800,000 of us to email accounts soon unless you protest.
2.Origin Energy text us yesterday " Get your account emailed. Australia Post is too slow and may result in your account being received after it is due".

I have opted to get all my accounts by email. It's convenient as I never miss one even when I travel, I then pay over the internet or by direct debit.

Looked back thru email account and did not receive so now fighting with Telstra via India/Pakistan. Yes I should have realized I was missing a bill but with Christmas etc it slipped my mind and ofcourse I depend on getting an email

I assume you checked your spam folder?
Having said that, if it happened to me I'd probably never find it. Get 100s every week. Lol

Gooday,
I also do not like getting Accounts Electronically, with Telstra I paid the $2-00 per Statement for about 2 years until they upped it to $3-00 a couple of yers ago. What annoys me is we see no benefit from them reducing their costs, goes to the BIG Gold Pot the Executives feed from I am sure.
I just refer to it as "Cost Shifting".
Cheers,
Bliss on Wheels.

Howdy Blisson, Telstra wanted to bully us into electronic stuff, until I reminded them that as we are pensioners AND over 65 years of age then it is not lawful to demand we are asked to pay for paper accounts. They smoothly complied and we get our accounts each month in the mail box without cost.

I agree used to prefer paper bills the old way. Since I'm about to go travelling I've converted all mine to email and will do as Jaybird is, a good system I think. Good point about checking the spam folder, never thought about that. Blissonwheels I'm now wary of big companies who advertise a lot and always say it's a new and improved service to customers that require YOU to either do MORE or them to do LESS and still the price goes up.
