Hello. just had the tick approval from the bosses to be part of this group
Hello
Susan and I arent new to the van way, I have had campers for many years when the family was growing up
now I am semi retired and Susan will retire early next year, looking to hear and read about the many trips around Australia
i am in the process of buying a new van with a shower and toilet , as my existing van (2014 Coromal poptop) does not have this option
I am looking at the JB, Atlantics, and the Retreat brands
looking at a 196 van, weight being less than 3000 kgs GVM as I drive a current model Toyota Prado
lots to look and think about
thanks
Brian

Welcome to the gang Brian and Susan, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Make sure you check out all the different sections of this great forum and ask any question or reply to any posts in the right section's, that way it's easier to find when things hit the dungeon. You will find most people here very friendly with just a couple that like to get carried away a smidgen.
Retreat make a very nice unit and I tell you that for free. They do have a big price tag though.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

A warm welcome from me also, Brian and Susan
I know nothing of JB, Atlantics, or Retreat Caravans
I will say this, when we progressed to an onboard shower and toilet, there is no going back, for me or my wife Bev
As you probably already know, picking a new rig, is picking the one which ticks most of your boxes, and then adapting to what you have
I sincerely hope that you are able to pick one, which does tick all your boxes

Welcome Brian & Susan, I strongly suggest you look at a lighter caravan if towing with Prado.
