Sorry for my lack of computer skills
I love reading the jokes on this page, but why do many of your jokes involve an attachment.
Would it be just as easy to put up the actual joke?

Sorry Hewy54, that's how I receive them, as a mp4 video file, which is quite common and easy to open.
I have asked before, with no answer, why can't they be just opened and viewed on this site, but everything has to be downloaded to your device.

It's strange, I can click on the link that you put up when on my laptop and it works fine, however, if I do the same on my iphone, it wont open.

Most of the MP4 links that are put up are mainly utube videos.
If available the utube link would mean that all members could read and view them.
Ipad and Iphone wont read the format for some reason although mine is only an Iphone 7 and an older Ipad so maybe the newer devices will read them.
The board that this forum runs on is, for want of a better description, Jurassic.

In relation to mp4 format on an iPad, if you click on the link it gives you 2 options - open ( which does not work as you have found out) or download
if you click download then a new little icon appears at the right hand end of the address bar and clicking on it then allows you to open it. Once finished you can click again and then clear to remove the item.
