I dont agree it is the readers responsibility to avoid a particular group of posts because for one thing those couple of members might one day have something genuinely interesting and useful to pass on. No do I agree that adding a disclaimer in the title means any poor taste post can be published.
In the end, this is a forum for matters pertaining to an rv-ing lifestyle, not an outlet for thousands of copied and pasted material so maybe it is time to emulate a huge majority of forums that have been mature enough to do without a jokes section.

I read the forum using the aweful active board "app" and all information is stripped from all posts except for the author and the title, so those suggesting I avoid the "humour" section could perhaps suggest how.

Not the first forum that has had to remove the joke section and wont be the last ( remember Friday funniest on exploreOz. For what its worth I tend to agree with Lily2018 the content recently is more suited to the pub than here .

Try walking along the beach in Manly, which I do everyday to get exercise.
Girls in g-strings leaving barely a thread's breadth to the imagination spread-eagle trying to get a tan facing the footpath, so to speak.
One has the choice not to look.
I have to acknowledge Manly Council has fixed the unseen footpath trip hazards very quickly after I have reported them from tripping up!

There's no argument Tony, I post jokes (mainly videos) for the enjoyment of others and to share around, not one blue movie amongst them all, not to everyones taste but the majority like them.

Some of them are filth and I was a pretty bad crude joker in the army, especially at the boozer, but, their were no women, and nearly no women there, so I agree in part with Tonylee, you can substitute some of the words for other words, as well, as not showing almost R rated pics. It is too crude for a public wholesome family forum.

Yep, I agree with you Lily.
I'm not embarrassed by smutty jokes, however do find them childish as well as being in poor taste.
Most of us grow out of this type of humour when we mature, I guess some of us simply never grow up.
As far as declaring the jokes section a no go area, why? now and again something clever as well as amusing is posted.
Leave schoolyard humour and smut where it belongs, in the school yard.

All humour has to potential to offend - Blonde jokes stereotype "dumb Karens". Irish and Polish jokes stereotype the worst of the "manual labourers". Johhny jokes stereotype individuality in kids. Many witticisms, play on words, puns denigrate Politicians. Medical jokes tend to point out botched operations and misuse of drugs ( Viagra). Religious jokes may offend peadophile Priests and sanctimonious Choirmasters What one would tell their Grandmother is no use in determining a "Joke" suitability - Some Grandmother's language make me blush around the campfire.
Humour is subjective - It is not related to an Intelligence Quotient - It is not always subtle - It's intent is solely to release good endorphins to the reader/s - Sometimes it misses it's mark, generally it is appreciated.
I assume I am one of the "two". So I shall defend myself. I am a practicing Christian, I have lived a pretty full life, seen and done some horrific and emotionally draining tasks, often using the blackest of humour to allow me to continue on with the task and remain relatively sane. I am a pedantic prick at times, part of my training I s'pose.
As for "might one day have something genuinely interesting and useful to pass on." - I would be prepared to put my technical contributions to GN's up against the dissenters any day of the week - perhaps they would like to check their facts.

I find that if something is not to my particular taste, I tend to avoid it - May I respectfully advise others to follow suit.

Big tick . Someone mentioned schoolyard smut, been in schools for over thirty years, had worse language thrown at me by students, smutty jokes may be told by some students and some dont even know what they are joking about.

I think your jokes are hilarious Possum and I really enjoy those clips of Bobdown.
I go to visit my old mum (she is in aged care and 100 years old.) and read them to her. She thinks they are pretty funny too. I showed them to one of the nurses and now they get onto this site just to read them and relay them to some of the oldies who howl with laughter.
