Had to get up 5:30 this morning, getting old, been drink plenty of fluids for the heatwave, some of which have been water!
30°C outside, cooler inside, first time I have ever seen it this high in the morning. Sydney at the water's edge which normally keeps the temperature down a bit.
We only have a crappy air conditioner & are exposed to the westerly sun so on extreme heat days we Velcro some additional old white cotton sheets to the windows to add an additional 2 layers of blinds. Works a treat!
So we have reflective blinds, 2 layers of sheets & a thick natural cotton curtain to create multiple barriers against the heat.

Wheels are what sets RV s apart.
We spent the day under a massive oak tree in Penshurst VIC having made a deliberate decision to head south for the summer. Kids in Sydney were in close to 30C last night, and I had the fan heater running here.

Yep.
We were in Kununurra once in mid September and it was 36C and raining. Not pleasant. Two long days driving later and we were on the Queensland coast and it was "perfect".
Cheers,
Peter

Just walked in from a picnic at Sandgate, Brisbane. Paradise in the patio area at 30 cel.
Eastly breeze blowing in across from Morton Island.
Yes, we have survived.

The change has hit Sydney's Northern Beaches at 5:25pm. Once the initial gust of wind is over will be able to open up everything.

Here in Brisbane Qld. I must say "What heat wave?" I played golf yesterday in the normal December Summer climate.
Sure it was hot, especially as an example out west in Roma Qld where the temp recorded 44 Degrees. Roma continuously records summer days in the 40's.
As you may gather I do not believe in climate change except for the 4 seasons, and December January and February are very much summer season. Could almost include March in this equation.

But I do cherish the spring season in Queensland.
Happy " Summer" Days.
