Here is a funny version of the Duck Cake from that book but it brought back good memories of other recipes in there...

I have made all the cakes bar 1 when my kids were young and they loved it.

My mum used to make "Dolly Vardon" cakes every birthday. You make a cake in a pudding basin shape, you cut a hole, stick a barbie in the hole and then decorate the cake and the barbie like a fancy ballgown. Pretty easy to make, and we liked them.
