I have a problem with old. How old is old. Is a person old when they reach 30? some 25yr olds may think so. So, who are the old people? An 80yr old may say that a 70yr is not all that old. Its a matter of perspective. and on that basis who is qualified to make that decision? Oh dear I think I am overthinking things here.

It appears that the Federal Government (through the Finance Minister), has distanced itself from Tony Abbots comments
This (in my opinion), is good news
It saves me from reverting to my second name, Anthony
I would not be happy, to have my name, associated with his philosophy, if the Government followed his lead

Its very sad when opponents of Tony Abbott fail read the entire content of his speech, what make it worse the half ar$ed left wing media blow it out of porportion.
The crux of their opposition to him revolves around him attacking one of the left wing darlings the Victorian Premier.
One important component ovelooked by the anti Abbott brigade was
In this climate of fear, it was hard for governments to ask how much is a life worth? because every life is precious, and every death is sad, but that has never stopped families sometimes electing to make elderly relatives as comfortable as possible while nature takes its course.
But I will stick my head up above the rampart for all and sundry to take a pot shot at because I am one the regards Tony Abbott a great Australian, his service to the people of Australia as a member of the parliment, as surf life saver and voulenteer fireman.

Sorry, Abbott is a has-been in Australian politics. Glorify him all you like but he was past his use-by date in the public's eye and nothing has changed there.

Latest unbelievable comment from Tony Abbott who is short listed for the job of Brexit Trade Envoy in UK.
"Lockdowns come at too high a price and nature should be allowed to 'take its course' for more elderly victims of Covid-19."
(Extract from the UK Daily Mail)
Why am I not surprised???????
