Looks like I might have found the Mother Lode, here. I'm 72 and all I have is an old dog, an old land cruiser and an 18' caravan. I do a good impersonation of Clink in Hogan's Hero's. I know NOTHING about caravans or the nuances of towing them. I also believe in safety in numbers when travelling. Hoping for your advice for a newcomer.
Jonny.

Hey Jonny. Welcome! What state do you find yourself in? Are you going to be fulltime on the road or have a home base? Cheers stretch.

Thanks for your response. I hope to become immersed in caravanning and meet new friends. Hopefully a group. Safety in numbers when you're 72.

Goodluck with your operation. At least it is warmer in Brisbane l'm stuck in the covid state with teeth chattering.
There are plenty of nomads on the road that you will meet, make friends and learn the places we camp,
Stretch.

Hey Jonny,
Many free camping Queenslanders head South to Victoria in Summer and end up at Greens Lake, near Corop.
Have a look at the blog site here...many solos here in the hot dry months.
New hot showers, new flushing toilets and dump point. Close to towns for shopping.
