I follow the F1, as a bit of a hobby, as I sometimes find the politics, more exciting than the racing
I think (from memory), that Red Bull currently hold the record of less than 2 seconds, for a pit stop
This is almost as fast as a yobbo, stealing your tyres

Of course the difference is that there are more people on the job in 2013 than 1930... Wow - that was quick!

Hi Landy
They have not been putting fuel in, at the pit stops, since about 2009/2010
Below is a vid, of the current record pitstop, which was from 2019, the record is 1.82 (one point eight two) seconds

When/how do they refuel?
PS.. I never watch car racing.

Good question Cupie. I only watch Bathurst and the occasional V8 race. Landy.

They all start the race with about 100kg of fuel and don't refuel. Apparently that is enough to get the car through the race if tactically driven.
I used to really like F1 but I find it has become a bit boring. I remember going out to Warwick Farm in NSW in the sixties and seeing an Australian Grand Prix with all the top overseas drivers and was completely blown away. I remember Jim Clark came out here and won the Tasman Series and the Aussie GP.
They actually drove the cars in those days, none of this push button, linked up to computers stuff. Those blokes could really drive.
