After 15 years of use our Annex / Awning was a tad tired and starting to wear badly. An Aussie Traveler set up which has served us well.
But being a bit more decrepit now and the need for a ladder to set up and pack up was a bit un-nerving. So we had a Care Free Awning fitted with the Aussie Traveler walls adapted to it.
The work was superbly carried out and we can set up easily now without leaving the ground.
To fit the walls and Anti Flap bars I still need a Gorilla Ladder, but the whole process is still much safer for me to do so.
Not knocking your beautiful new long awning , but did anyone mention a centre saddle to help support the length during a bit of corrigation, cattle grids.? The flex can put a lot pressure on the area along the van where the awning is connected to the van, mainly the middle area.

Have given it some thought. but no action as yet.
HOWEVER seeing as you have picked a potential problem there just from a picture, I shall be looking much more seriously at it. Big thank you for your keen eyes and thoughts.

Centre support bracket is an absolute must. Takes the whip out of the drum over bumps and the like.

https://www.rvpartsexpress.com.au/carefree-rafter-with-ground-support-and-awning-support-cradle.html I have one of these that supports the roller wether opened or closed, I have been considering relocating the current one and adding another one to spread the load.

Magnificent advice here - thanks. I have already been out to have a look and measure and at 15 ft. length I agree that at least 1 if not 2 of the rvpartsexpress brackets will be the go. Have already got the centre vertical pole in hand for when the Awning is out - can link it in with the Storm Rafter.
