Get the provider's coverage maps and stay where the cover is?
Get a modem that can be fitted with an external antennae for marginal areas.
Who is your provider? Some are better than others. None cover the whole country.
Cheers,
Peter

Have a look at the Cel-Fi Go system.

Welcome to the gang Stu, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I have a Telstra Netgear WiFi device that is on the inside wall of my aluminium teepee and have a external antenna with magnetic base up on roof. I had to stick a bit of thin metal on the roof for the magnet. i also fitted a cable entrance fitting that is used for TV cable to enter teepee but the Telstra cable is used instead. Helps heaps and usually get an extra two bars strength in low cover areas. Both my WiFi and phone are on a plan. Works well for me.
Keep Safe out there.

Gooday,
Depends a lot who your provider is, Telstra has by far the best coverage, bar none.
