thinking all is ok n self isolating for corona virus when i decided to go for a walk around the showground. Well, that was not a good idea. I put my foot in a hole and went arseup. Had to be helped up and helped to my van. I have a damaged ankle but strop came to the rescue and put me to bed with ice packs and panadol. We move to another spot in the showgrounds tomorrow. Looks like strop will be doing that by himself. Now strop is going to the chemist to get a compression bandage. As if isolating for corona virus wasnt enough **** to contend with.

Ankles always take a long time, have had many of them. Compression bandage and start moving it as soon as you can, good luck.

Sorry to hear about your ankle, at least you didn't fracture four ribs 200mm off the ground, six weeks of suffering.
Keep it raised & keep moving..... Gently.

I was on my elbows & toes taking a photo, a rock came loose & I went splat. First half day was ok, but that night I couldn't lie down or even get down.
The worst was 100km of outback roads, I had to support my weight on my arms.
A week later I went to Manly Hospital for X-rays, they couldn't see anything & I had to argue for pain relief to sleep.
The next week we were camping again with a friend from Europe for a week. When we got home there was a message from the hospital.
The hospital had looked at my X-rays again & found 4 ribs fractured along the length of the ribs, apparently harder to see on the X-rays.
Many decades ago I fell 6 metres out of a tree & bruised my little toe on a stick!

Don't go walking around an aluminium smelter, due to the massive magnetic field you will be stuck to the pot line!
