Will you still travel with your dog/s when the caravan park asks you to pay for their overnight stay?
You never paid for your children, but its extra now.
I wonder which state will be first?

So in this environment of people wanting to make more money from their investment, it could well become the norm.
That will severely restrict your choices. Without be able to boycott the park, what are your options?

More and more free/low cost camps appearing all the time, we have an excellent site adjacent to the Moonta main street, donation requested.
Van parks must hate the trend.

Their are books out there, Camping with dogs in Australia, or similar, we have one from 20years back, that is still relevant, but the Camps books and Wkicamps help a lot with pets. Me. both on the bike or in the c.van, we don't ever use c.van parks, Just showgrounds, freecamps and Stealth camping.

A couple parks we have stayed at have taken a "good behaviour bond". Refunded when you leave when the dogs (and perhaps their owners) have not caused any complaints or traumas.
No issue with our dogs because they're well behaved. As for the owners........
