Possum has been quiet, but why do you view a particular joke? the person who posts, the title, just bored so have a look.
eg Broken brickie rates high. Commonsense also. A few good ones hardly rate a view

I don't bother with any that require following another link. If I wanted to chase jokes around the internet I would do it myself, but I'd rather do other things.

My sense of humour
If If I was not able to laugh at myself, I would not be following the joke section
But...
When I travel I usually have intermittent internet connection, so I do not usually follow the links

Everyone needs to know the videos I post are Files, not links, that is the way the website uploads it, if anyone can show me a better way please do.
Mp4 files are the way they are emailed to me and are okay to open, unfortunately there is a 10 mb limit, otherwise there would be a heap more funny videos that I could have posted.
You are missing a few good laughs if you don't open them.
Cheers Bob

In broad terms, Mp4 files can theoretically be used to contain malicious code. However, that would automatically render the file corrupt and it won't play.
The same also applied to docx files which can also contain malicious code in the form of macros. Again, HOWEVER, Microsoft Word will automatically open such files in 'safe mode' which renders them harmless unless you intentionally cancel the safe mode.
Now, having said that, if people are technically illiterate, which is merely a description not an insult, then I totally endorse the policy of not following any links.
just be aware, such advice is merely to protect the innocent and unknowing. Following links will be safe if you are aware of some basic rules of the road, so to speak.
Your choice. Learn basic internet safeguards, or, miss out on some jokes. There is no one correct choice. Only what suits you.
