Owned a rear door for a few years, was o.k. but not good on a lot of caravan park sites, ours did,nt have a flywire door, the main door had a small pull down piece for a breeze to blow thru, not good.
Do as the travelling Dilberries suggested and have a good look at the van, make sure every works as it should,
personally I would never buy another rear door van,
Cheers, Joda.

If you are looking at doing the lap seriously consider buying a dual wheeler. Towing stability travelling long distances is a major consideration, there are even vans as short as 15 foot being built with this configuration.

This is a second hand story, but from a man (distant family member), who I knew to be truthful
He once owned a rear door caravan
He advised me never to buy one, as they sucked in a lot of dust, compared to a side door caravan
Hi All;
I have been a happy camper all my life.
Tents , that is.
About 6 years ago my wife had some knee issues, no more tent for us.
We purchased a hard floor camper, an old CUB, but with some loving care and new canvas, the perfect getaway camper.
Roll forward 6 years, we have decided to think about the BIG LAP, a camper isnt the ideal vehicle, so its a caravan.
I vowed I would never own one, but Im now looking at one, life is strange.
We found one we think will suit us.
Its an Elete caravan with a rear door.
But as we no knothing about vans or even types of vans, perhaps you wonderful people ould tell us if we are looking at trouble.
The van is a 16 foot van single axle and looks good.
But are elete any good?
Are rear doors any good?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
It is an ELITE van. The reviews and history of these vans and the company are not good. Going on what I have read only.
If it is an older van and has had issues sorted out, may be ok but you will need to be very vigilant in your inspection of it.
