Stumbled onto this site while researching info on batteries, glad I did, what a wealth of knowledge on here from experienced travellers.
I'm not new to camping and 4x4ing, spent many years (45+) with tents and swags and still do, this has been passed on the my kids and now they have young children my daughter and son have both purchased Jayco campervans to make things a bit more comfortable and the best bit is my wife and myself can use them as well.
Retired from the offshore oil and gas industry working on construction vessels as a professional diver for many years and moved onto helicopter operations over the last several years.
So here I am, thanks guys.

Welcome to the gang Les, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Sounds like you had a very interesting and exciting job there Les. I love your choice of rig in your AV, it would save a lot of traffic headaches I reckon.
Keep safe on the roads and out there.
