Whistling occurs as wind passes across any aperture - Use cardboard and gaffer tape or similar to fashion panels over any openings on side or top - when you locate the offending aperture - you can then work out how to permanently deflect wind.

Welcome to the gang Gordon, enjoy here and out in the playground.
In a previous life and many moons back now I had racks on the top of my panel van to carry a surfboard and when board not on the racks whistled so put foam around them and tied down with tape. Worked too. Just a thought but might not be suitable in your case.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

You are right Doug, any cheap interruption fix is worth trying 1st. A short lenght of pvc pipe on roof racks(if fitted) can make a big difference.
