An amusing thread, 'till I read something about 'not interfering with nature'.....more from the curtain fading mythology methinks.
Now now Tony ..
Surely you can't believe that Daylight Saving doesn't increase curtain fading.
Perhaps it is Global warming that does it?
But then maybe Daylight Saving is a contributor to Global warming.
At least we are doing our bit in Qld., by doing nothing
LOL

By George Cupie, I think you've hit the nail on the head!! Just to be safe though, I reckon we should all get rid of the curtains and install UV resistant blinds, that'll fix those pesky extra sun hours...LOL indeed!

Queensland Highway Patrol were in pursuit of a vehicle which had been identified as being a vehicle leaving the scene of a serious offence.
The vehicle was heading south and would soon be crossing the NSW border.
As the escaping vehicle crossed over the border and into New south Wales, the Highway Patrol Officer terminated the pursuit.
Dumbfounded, his offsider, asked, Why did you stop Sergeant? He was just there, right in front of us.
The Sergeant replied, Well you see Constable, hes in NSW now and theyre an hour ahead of us so theres no way we would ever catch him.
Have a great and safe weekend

After four referendums that said no to daylight saving in WA, every summer some muppet brings it up again wanting the thing and the media go into another feeding frenzy.
Surely we have far more important things to deal with for gods sake. If they want daylight saving that badly move to NSW or Victoria.
I love the car example, that is so true. Lol
My manual watch has a 42 hour spring so I let it stop for 17 hours, if I have the maths right. Or wind it forward 1 hour might be easier.
Had to move the date 1 day forward as September only has 30 days or the watch is 1 date behind.
Don't the curtains fade!
Make sure your sundial is used in the correct hemisphere or it will be running backwards!
At least, in Qld we see the NRL Grand Final an hour before NSW does.
We don't interfere with nature in Queensland.
Really? How did the cane toads get there Cupie. Joh probably told you they caught a train from Sydney and you all believed him.
They were left on his desk in a brown paper bag yep, probably by a Mexican, but like good neighbours, we are sharing them with our fellow Australians.
And another one.
Regards
Angie
