Can anyone advise us on the condition of this road recently. We are in Winton at the moment towing a 22' road van

We did it last year with our van, no problems, typical north Qld single width road from memory.
Can't see why it would not be Ok unless they had floods??
cheers

If it was flood damaged the repairs would have completed by now. Check TMR website for current roadworks and road closures. Winton-Hughenden is discussed often and im sure a search will find post-flood info too.

Ask the local coppers.
They know all the road conditions and I've always found them very helpful.

G'day Phil
Like others ^^ we've done this road several times over the last few years and a) it's a quite okay road, b) yes it is single-lane bitumen in places, and c) it has several overnight stopping places if desired
One is the village of Corfield with its rest area, - when we were there we were joined by 1/2-dozen other travellers and the happy hour was most cheerful
